In the 2360s, Bek was the liaison between the Vedek Assembly and the Bajoran Occupational Government. In 2368, Bek committed suicide on Terok Nor and claimed in his suicide note that he had passed information on the location of Resistance fighters in the Kendra Valley to the Cardassians, leading to the Kendra Valley massacre. In fact, Kai Opaka Sulan had actually disclosed the information and Bek claimed responsibility to protect the kai. (DS9 episode: "The Collaborator", ST - Terok Nor novel: Dawn of the Eagles)
