Belennii was a trinary star system located within Klingon Empire space along its border with Federation territory in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.
History and specifics[]
The system was too distant to be deemed worthy of siting a Klingon military base there, but it was not far from primary Federation shipping lanes. It consisted of a white dwarf, two G type yellow stars, 4,020 asteroids, and a long-period comet.
In 2266, the IKF Falchion was posted to Belennii. After 451 days patrolling the region, CO Kyron gentai-Hann considered it valueless.
In 2268, the Federation starship USS Enterprise attempted to render aid to a damaged vessel at the system's outskirts, but was attacked by starships that crossed the border into Federation space. The Enterprise managed to destroy them, but the battle left the ship powerless and on emergency life support. The ships were later found to be under the control of Ravens.
