Belinda Gomez was a female human in the mid-24th century, the eldest daughter of José Esteban and Guadalupe Gomez, and sister to Sonya Gomez. As a child, she was given the nickname "Bee" by her younger sister (who was initially unable to pronounce her full name). In turn, Belinda began calling Sonya "Ess". (SCE eBook: Breakdowns)

Once, while still children, Belinda saved Sonya's life when the younger sister fell out of a rowboat into the Gulf of Mexico.

Belinda Gomez achieved fame as a young woman as a soccer player, with her team going to the Federation Cup multiple times. Her soccer career ended circa 2366 due to a knee injury, after which she returned to her parents' home in Vieques, Puerto Rico. (SCE eBook: Many Splendors)

She attempted a number of careers following this setback, including an onscreen news reader for the Federation News Service's North American feed, a sculptor, a deep-sea diver, an actor, and a transporter technician. In 2376, she held a position as a school soccer coach, but was later dismissed for violation of school policies. (SCE eBook: Breakdowns)
