Bellatora Fortis was a Starfleet officer who served in the 24th century. Born on New Riyadh to Atheus and Cerisan Fortis, Fortis attended Starfleet Academy in the 2360s. In 2375, she was assigned to the USS Sparrowhawk as second officer. During the Second Battle of Chin'toka, the Sparrowhawk's captain and first officer were killed in a Breen attack. Fortis assumed command of the vessel, and saw it through the battle. Subsequently, she was awarded a battlefield promotion to the rank of Captain.

Fortis was assigned to command the USS Charon upon its launch in 2379, and took the ship on its assigned exploratory mission of the Beta Quadrant. Fortis was killed, along with her ship's complement, when the Charon encountered a region of extreme temporal flux in the Elysia Incendae system in 2380. (TTN novel: Sword of Damocles)
