Bellatrix V was the fifth planet in orbit of the Bellatrix star system in the Bellatrix sector, located in the space of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant.

History[]

Bellatrix V was home to a culture known as the "wave-dancers". Spock recalled the mission to contact them as one where everything went perfectly. (TOS - The Yesterday Saga novel: Time for Yesterday)

By the 24th century, this world was not a member of the Federation. (ST reference: Star Charts)

Surtus Province was a province on Bellatrix V. Telsia Murphy was born here on 29th February 2351. However, she was orphaned as a child in a crime-ridden slum inhabited by Orions, where women were treated as not much more than property. Telsia lived on its streets. (VOY video game: Elite Force)

In Earth's calendar, the date 29th February cannot occur in an odd-numbered year like 2351. This may be in error, a feature of the Bellatrix V calendar, or the date was chosen by Telsia to intentionally create a paradox.
