Ben was a Human male. He served in Starfleet as a lieutenant aboard the USS Venture in the 23rd century.
History[]
In February 2274, while the USS Venture was undergoing maintenance at the Hus-24 drydock, Ben tripped over a Husian who was carrying a tray of Widgin pins.
He remarked to fellow officer that he felt uneasy around the diminutive Husians because he couldn't read any expressions in their eyes. (TOS comic: "Husian Gambit")
