Ben Prieto was a male Human Federation Starfleet officer who served on board the USS Enterprise-D in the 24th century. In 2364, he piloted shuttlecraft 13, escorting Lieutenant commander Deanna Troi through the Zed Lapis sector back to the Enterprise when it crashed on planet Vagra II. Both officers were injured but eventually rescued from the remaining lifeform on the planet, Armus, at the cost of the life of Lieutenant Natasha Yar.
