This character is a member of Quark's family.
For other uses, see Bena.

Bena was the daughter of Grand Nagus of the Ferengi Alliance Rom and his second wife, Leeta, born 21 November in the year 2376. Her name, which means "joy" in the Bajoran language (and "underflooring" in Ferengi), was selected in honor of Benjamin Sisko. (DS9 - Worlds of DS9 novel: Ferenginar: Satisfaction is Not Guaranteed)

Biography[]

One year later, she and her parents made a stop at Deep Space 9. By this time, she had started teething and her uncle Quark considered her "a royal pain." (ST - Seven Deadly Sins novella: Reservoir Ferengi)

In 2385, Bena accompanied her parents to the new Deep Space 9, where her father represented the Ferengi Alliance. By this time, Bena was able to name all the Grand Nagus back to Gint and all the Bajoran Kai up to Pralon Onala, prompting her parents' friends to joke that they were expecting her to become the next Kai and Grand Nagus simultaneously. (ST - The Fall novel: Revelation and Dust)

The November 21 date is from "A Note on Chronology," printed at the end of Worlds of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Volume Three.
