Benedict Arnold, Patriot was a monograph written by historian Montmorency in the late 2350s or the early 2360s, which advanced the theory that Benedict Arnold, the infamous American traitor during the American Revolution, was in fact a double agent who infiltrated the British military to undermine their efforts to put down the rebellion in their North American colonies. By 2367, Montmorency's work was considered the final word on Arnold. (TNG comic: "The Lesson")

This paper was presumably written after William T. Riker's Starfleet Academy graduation in 2357, since he was unaware of Montmorency's work during his own academic career.
