Benthos, also known as Bentha, was a type K orange star with the associated Benthan star system, located in the galaxy's Delta Quadrant, in the boundaries of the space claimed by the Benthan Protectorate government. Benthos lay in or near the boundaries of the Kotaba Expanse, in the vicinity of the Kendren, Entaba and Omega systems. Benthos was also the location of the planet Benthos IV, homeworld of the Benthan civilization. The star had an apparent magnitude of +9. (ST reference: Star Charts)
