The Benzar smuggler was descriptively named for its use by smugglers from the vicinity of the planet Benzar in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. As the name suggests, Benzar smuggler vessels were often used by criminal elements throughout the local quadrants, and were hostile to independent parties as well as those belonging to major factions.
