Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

The Berellians were a civilization known to the Federation and Starfleet in the 24th century.

As of 2368, Christopher Hobson believed them to be unfit to serve as engineers, using this apparent fact an example when expressing his belief that an android such as Data would not make a good commanding officer for the starship USS Sutherland. (TNG episode: "Redemption II")

Jake Sisko once played a game of dom-jot against a Berellian. (DS9 episode: "The Abandoned")

This came from a line cut from the shooting script.
