Beta Herculis (also known as 27 Herculis or Kornephoros) is a star system, a binary star in the space of the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant.
History and specifics[]
This binary consists of two type G yellow stars in the constellation of Hercules, located 148 light-years from Earth, in the general vicinity of Tyberius and Nashira. (ST reference: Star Charts)
In 2372, the Federation Science Council dispatched a subspace transmission to all starship commanding officers and xenoarchaeological teams with a list of recently discovered Alpha Quadrant worlds that could serve as example for Hodgkin's Law. This included Beta Herculis I, home to a species biologically similar to the Tholians.
Kornephoros V was home to a Human population with a culture similar to the Elasians of the Tellun system, including emotionally compromising tears. (Star Trek Adventures module: Alpha Quadrant Sourcebook)
