Bhea was binary star, consisting of Bhea A as a blue class B star and the orange class B Bhea B, with an associated system. The Bhea system was located in the Vulcan sector and Sirius sector block of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. Bhea hosted four planets and was controlled by the United Federation of Planets. (STO - Patrol the Vulcan Sector mission: "Bhea System Patrol")
Location[]
This system was located within the Vulcan sector, one of three sectors - including the Orion and Risa sectors - assigned to the Sirius sector block. Also known as Sector 001, this area included the Sol system, and Bhea was located less than 20 lightyears away. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Patrol the Vulcan Sector")
History[]
Bhea I caught the interest of the Federation due to the ringed class M planet's large size and dense atmosphere, comprised of carbon dioxide and argon. As result, this world was known for the large amount of fog and fierce storms that swept over the land masses.
Although the planet was the target for terraforming, the high levels of radiation emitted by Bhea A led to a rejection of the proposal.
Meanwhile, Bhea II was a small terrestrial world orbiting the binaries at an angle compared to the system's ecliptic, resulting in variable conditions on this world. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Patrol the Vulcan Sector")
In the year 2409, Commander Akira Sulu of Earth Spacedock sent a Starfleet starship to the system to eradicate illegal Orion Syndicate shipyards. That mission was a success, and the Orion presence cleared from Bhea I's orbit. (STO - Patrol the Vulcan Sector mission: "Bhea System Patrol")
