Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). Bilana III was the homeworld of the Bilanians and where a science institute served as the base of operations for an experimental type of propulsion called a Soliton Wave. The wave was generated by field coils on the planet and pushed a test vessel toward Lemma II at warp speeds without the ship itself generating the warp field. At Lemma II, a dispersion field would stop the wave and the ship would exit warp. (TNG episode: "New Ground")

Doctor Ja'Dar was from Bilana III. (ST reference: USS Enterprise Owners' Workshop Manual)
