Star Trek History Question - HELP!!!
Hello, can someone help me please.... I search for days and days the internet... fruitless so far.... in search for the story where it was mentioned that the Preservers preserved some Theropod (Therapsid) dinosaurs from 252 million years ago in Earth distant past and planted them onto another planet. I remember that I had read that story once, just can't remember in which Star Trek novel it was or whether it was in Memory Alpha, Memory Beta, Memory Gamma, Memory Delta, Startrekexpanded, Star Trek Online or other websites? I have to read all my Star Trek novels again to find this little entry, the same problem with the Felisians, somewhere it was (shortly) mentioned that the Felisians visited ancient Egypt and were worshipped as Gods there,…

Tarn Empire
Hey, so I'm doing research for a possible Star Trek series taking place around 2160's during the Federation-Tarn war. I have looked through all of Memory beta but I can't seem to find any info on where the Tarn Empire is actually located. Can anyone help?
Rewatch and reread
I recently broke my ankle. It wasn't pretty--I fell out of a diesel truck while inspect the cab and broke both bones in my left ankle. It wasn't a fracture, either--both bones were broken all the way through, meaning that when I tried to stand up, my whole foot shifted because it wasn't connect to my leg anymore--literally the only thing holding it on was the skin around it. I was rushed to the hospital, had the bones set, and the doctors put an external fixator on it to hold the foot in place against the rest of my leg so it could heal. At that point, I was told I would have a lot of time on my hands because it would take months, at minimum, to heal to the point where I could put any weight on it again. I don't think I have ever wished fo…

Delta Aquilae Decommissioned Ship And Salvage Facility
The Delta Aquilae Decommissioned Ship And Salvage Facility is administered by Starfleet and is located in the Delta Aquilae area of the Alpha Quadrant.
The mission of the Delta Aquilae Facility is to store decommissioned starships, recover destroyed Starfleet vessels and salvage all useable components from those vessels for reuse. Delta Aquilae has many nicknames such as 'the Boneyard', 'the Junkyard', and 'the Graveyard' to name a few.
The Delta Aquilae facility is the largest such facility in the Federation. It was built by Starfleet Corp of Engineers in 2230 as a primary fleet salvage yard. Originally built to store only destroyed Starfleet vessels and dismantle them for recycling, it was later expanded to also act as a storage facility f…
Concerning the Vestios System
In reading the article on the Vestios System, I have come across an error. Before commenting on this error, i ripped out my calculator to get an exact date in time. Using the source material of one of the early Star Trek episodes "The Enterprise Incident" the 57th episode season III episode 2. In this episode Spock states that he has been in service for the Federation for eighteen years, minus the eighteen years and assuming that he joined at his eighteenth birthday, then minus that eighteen years brings us to the year of 2230.
Using "Memory Beta" search engine and looking up "Spock" it confirms the date with addition information stating "January 6" as the complete Earth date of his birth. Now comes the question "Why am I asking this questi…

Ark Royal class Carrier
In honor of the near complete scratch-build of my single most favorite ship from a game that my computer lost compatibility with a decade ago, I created an article n this page so more trekkie can know about the real, first federation carrier.
This ship captured my childhood imagination and currently it is being threatened with deletion because someone doesn't believe it exists.

Star Trek Encyclopedia update for 2016
Good news, everybody! The Star Trek Encyclopedia is getting an update!
Yes, Mike & Denise Okuda are working on a revised encyclopedia to be published in the summer of 2016. The new edition was first announced by John Van Citters of CBS Consumer Products at the Las Vegas Star Trek convention on 9th August earlier this year. becker&mayer! will produce the book which will be split into two volumes—totalling 1056 pages—housed in a slip case (similar, I should think, to the Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library reference work).
This latest edition will include references from the final episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, seasons 4-7 of Star Trek: Voyager, all four seasons of Star Trek: Enterprise, plus Star Trek Nemesis and the r…

Help
I have a project I have to do - a 10 page paper, to be exact - on how something changed the world. Naturally, I chose Star Trek. And while I do know a thing or two about how Star Trek changed the world we live in (how the communicators led to cell phones), I figured I should ask fans who might know a thing or two more than I do about it. Would any of you mind helping? Thanks.

Commissioned: Ships of the Line 2015?
's from Ships of the Line 2013.]] Well, it looks like the Ships of the Line calendars are heading towards a 2015 entry!
After the "Will they? Won't they?" leading up to the eventual release of the Ships of the Line 2014 calendar, I wasn't expecting a Ships of the Line 2015. However, I've seen a couple of promising hints online that fill me with hope that the 2015 edition will be going ahead.
Mark Rademaker cryptically tweeted the following "2015 is a go. Demeter is up next..." [1] on 14th October, and I've just discovered that last month Michael Wiley, aka Trekmodeler of DeviantArt, posted this on his DA journal:
- A few weeks ago, Doug Drexler contacted me to come up with some ideas for the upcoming SOTL calendar.
- My immediate reaction was- "HOL…

Starship Crews, who does what?
I've been wondering who does what on a starship. How much of Voyagers crew were engineers, scientists, security, command?
Why would there be any red uniformed personal aside from CO, XO, helm and may be 5 to 10 others involved in shuttles, next shift at CONN, JAG or Spec Ops?
On the shows the security teams never seem very large, but on a ship the size of Enterprise D they had to have substantial force, but what were they doing when not responding poorly to some emergency. And what part of the force is tactical and which is security, is the tactical section responsible for the upkeep of weapons and shield systems?
How large is the engineering staff of a ship, do they make up the majority of crew?
Same with science teams, how much of the complime…
Betazoids and language?
How did the Betazoid language develop, have they always been telepathic and if so how would have effected their communication. Why speak aloud at all? What gets written down? Does communication telepathically and verbally differ, is their a grammar and syntax, etc...?
For that matter how does telepathy work if we all think in our native languages?
Do they even have a written language, I ask because if I remember correctly the Efrosians use sound to record their history and knowledge, what with having poor eyesight.
Just a couple notes
Hey guys, just so everyone knows my goal is to be around a lot more this summer, college was a real kick in the backside. So, if you guys need anything, feel free to leave a message on my talk page and I'll do whatever I can to help you out.
Further, as an admin, I would love to see some more community building activities, so if anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would love to here them either on here or my talk page.
Once again, if there's anything at all I can help with just leave me a message.
Thanks, --Long Live the United Earth (talk) 05:41, May 5, 2013 (UTC)
Wiki Ideas
I am a rather rabid wiki-founder, some of them I have more-or less abandoned for lack of interest . . . some aree just info-dumbs for when I take notes . . . some are because other wikis are mishandling their subject-matter (planet 51 wiki, and chronicles of riddick wiki) and need a fresh start.
personally, I lack the enthusiasm to create a new star trek wiki. I am a Burroughs fan first and foremost, but I contribute on any wiki that I can. I have two ideas for new trek-themed wikis . . . why am I not bringing this up on memory alpha? or some other star trek fansite?
Honestly, because most star trek fans are far to dismissive of non-show works, even being malicious and hateful of the very concept of it. As if these writers and creators perfo…
I think that Captain Kirk aka William Shatner should commission the new aircraft carrier enterprise in a few years lets start a campagin
let start a petition to have William Shatner commission the new naval carrier USS Enterprise (CVN-80) Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carrier. However its not gonna be ready for commission til 2025 which is crazy the name Enterprise is a legend i belive the navy should do what star trek did recommission a current ship or one soon to be completed to USS Enterprise in honor of all the men tht have served on tht legendary vessel and all her name sakes.
Updates to the Related Videos Module
Hi All!
Last year, we began experimenting with some video features on a certain set of test wikis. Our goal was to gauge our visitors' interest in watching videos. Our findings were not surprising: people love to watch on-topic videos.
The main tool we used to test this was the Related Videos module (which you can see in the right rail). It was built as a proof-of-concept feature and we knew it wasn't scalable to launch on many more wikis. We've reached the point in our Video project where we're confident enough to turn on for more wikis (release plan TBD). However, this requires some functionality changes.

- 2 How it works now
- 3 How it will work as of Oct 3rd
- 4 How it will work in the near future
- 5 Why are we making these changes?…
Star Trek 3
I loved the Star Trek 2009 movie and look forward to the sequel in 2013 but wonder wether it will exceed expectations and lead to there being a third sequel?
It is impossible to decide on the plot that this third film may have but there is nothing stopping fans on thinking up ideas on the villians:
The Borg (I know they never made an apperance in Star Trek until TNG but since this is an alternative universe and we all know that the borg were around long before the 23nd cetury)
Klingons (apparently they make an apperance in film number 2 but they could be a recurring villian in this film)
Forget about my ideas what are yours?
Star Trek TNG remake?
I've always loved the The Next Generation and would never even dream of someone else portraying Captain Picard or any of the other characters for that matter and hopefully I won't have to witness any change like this (excluding the OS remake) but you never know, at some point in the future it could be a last ditch attempt to get more fans to know of Star Trek TNG's existance.
LETS ALL HOPE THIS NEVER HAPPENS!
But if this were ever to happen tell me, who do you think would be the actors for:
Jean Luc Picard
William Riker
Data
Wolf
Diana Troi
Geordi La Forge
Wesley Crusher (must be someone annoying)
Dr. Crusher
Mr. Broccoli
etc.
Represent Your Wiki at Comic-Con
Known in some circles as the geek Mecca, Comic-Con International: San Diego has become the place for entertainment enthusiasts looking to get their yearly fix of all things film, TV, comics, anime, toys and more. With the 2012 show fast approaching, what better place to celebrate the living, breathing embodiment of Wikia than at the ultimate pop culture event. So I am excited to announce, Wikia is going!
That’s right. We’re pulling up our Internet stakes and traveling circus-style to Southern California where we have a number of fun events planned (meet-ups, parties, interview opportunities, etc.) for the duration of the convention. But what is Wikia without you, the community? After all, is not the whole greater than the sum of its parts?…

Gattaca was my home in my pastlife and is a galaxy far opposite the Alpha quadrant and is the home of space Americans. They would have or were jipped while fighting and manipulating their surrounding enemies. They are a few states in America. They had policies on the French after defeating Galactica and laws and are full of police and military. They though never merged or linked to the Federation searching through space. If they merged then a full report would have been done and the UFP and Starfleet would have seen it Gattaca's way and upgraded and made new class Gattaca starships.Everthing in Gattaca is UFP and Starfleet agreeable as they have very wise judges and high ranks. They are very old more older than religion. They are space traveling …

New Star Trek game announced
Paramount Digital Entertainment has announced a brand new Star Trek game called simply Star Trek, just like the most recent movie. It is set to release in the summer of 2012 and is being developed by Digital Extremes, previously known for Dark Sector and The Darkness II. The game will be shown at next week's E3 Expo in Los Angeles.
The game will be set in the alternate timeline featured in the recent J.J. Abrams movie and will continue the story of that version of the Enterprise crew. The players will be able to control either or in both single player and co-operative modes.
"Star Trek challenges the boundaries of co-op gameplay with a galactic adventure that gamers and fans have never experienced," says Tom Lesinski, President of Paramount Digita…
need some advice. 1700
I am still a newbie to this site as far as contributing. The four starship's from the Ultimate computer I was trying to use as my avatar. couldn't line it up properly. Also I still have my original 1975 Starfleet Technical manual. I was hoping to expand out the specifications pages on the Constitution, Ptlomey , Hermes , Saladin and Federation classes. But I do not know how to edit it. At the present time I'm reading Indistinguishable from Majic. Which so far has not disappointed me at all. I am eagerly awaiting the next three TOS- Vanguard novels coming out this year.
Day 2 of contributing.
Oui! day 2, was going good. pretty much like day 1 how ever when someone gets touchy about something. lol Warning to all those new contributors out there, shoot your mouth off and Captain MKB is likely to delete your contributions for just being a smart ***. I dunno, i think its the god complex at work but who knows. Anyways... im gonna keep doing what im doing, contributing without stepping on any toes. I had to redo the Jonathan Frakes page cause some jerk off thinks i copied everything off of a page. But i would like to see what lines i did copy from the IMDB profile, but hey, you need to make a biography 'original'.... Kinda hard to make someones life and their contributions to a society original though when one way or the other multipl…
New Trek Aliens
I am fuming to know the new species from the New movie. I think Paramount is missing a great opportunity by not having new trek reference books out already. I guess all the people that understood the franchise are all dead now.
