Bobynin was a Human man, a Starfleet officer who served in the security section as a lieutenant aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the decade of the 2260s.
History[]
In 2269, Lieutenant Ling assigned Bobynin to command a security team to travel down to the Amusement Park planet aboard the shuttlecraft Galileo (NCC-1701/1). Communications and transporter functions had been jammed by unknown forces and the Enterprise was out of touch with a landing party. Bobynin's team powered up the Galileo and prepared for takeoff. Unfortunately, the Master Computer of the planet had taken control of the shuttle bay and locked the bay doors. (TAS - Log Three novelization: Once Upon a Planet)
