The Bok'Nor was an older type of freighter used by the Union for transporting ores from ore processing stations. (Decipher RPG module: Starships)

Sporting a crew of 78 officers and merchants, this class was gradually phased out in favor of the Groumall-class freighters as larger stations, such as those of the Nor-class, were constructed. The reasons stated for retirement was that the Bok'Nor-class were proving inefficient at maintaining a constant rate of turnover when transporting ores from these stations and that the ships were vulnerable from attack by raiders and terrorist groups.
