Boldly Go, Volume 1

Boldly Go, Volume 1 is the first of three omnibus comics to collect IDW Publishing's Boldly Go series. Released in paperback in July 2017, it reprinted issues 1-6. A hardcover edition was published by Eaglemoss in November 2019 as Graphic Novel Collection, Volume 87.

Description[]

Hot on the heels of IDW's first monthly comic set in the Kelvin timeline, Star Trek: Boldly Go continues the voyages of the alternate USS Enterprise crew.

Following the events of Star Trek Beyond, IDW continued to offer original tales and retellings of classic TV episodes in the pages of Boldly Go, with the movie's new addition, Jaylah, added to the comic lineup. Presented in this volume are the first six issues of the series, from writers Mike Johnson and Ryan Parrott.

Boldly Go brought one of Star Trek's deadliest adversaries — the cyborg hive-mind known as the Borg — into the Kelvin universe. The Borg's return further changed the temporally altered timeline, due to the assimilation of a certain pointy-eared first officer.

The front cover of Graphic Novel Collection, Volume 87 featured George Caltsoudas' artwork from the regular cover of Issue 1. The back cover was his art from the regular cover of Issue 2.
The rest of the Boldly Go series was reprinted in Graphic Novel Collection volumes 92 and 95.
