A boot was a type of clothing worn on one's foot.

History and specifics[]

Boots were part of various issues of regulation Starfleet uniforms.

A compliment for a Klingon, the klingonaase translation included the word kh'exrilin, or "footgear of death". In the mid-2280s, the designer of a new Klingon D12 cruiser recalled the incident and suggested it be called the Kh'exrilin-class, a.k.a the Death Boot-class.
