Bophur the Unholdable was the most famous escape artist of the 2350s decade. He used chaseum mirrors to reflect parawaves which befuddled positronic lock mechanisms.

When Wesley Crusher was nine years old, he saw Bophur's act, in the last year of the artist's professional career, and was so astonished that he rushed to his data library and read the only text ever written about him.

Years later, in 2370, Wesley recalled Bophur's technique and used it to break into Tunk's safe in order to retrieve the Kimbal Clock. (TNG novel: Balance of Power)
