Chief Scientist Bordelas was a Chodak and dissident of the Chodak Empire. He grouped with the other Chodak figures of Frigis who believed that the abuse of the powerful Unity Device by the Empire for its puny political ends was endangering the Universe.

He created a programmable encryption isolinear rod in order to access the Empire's central computer on Allanor. With it, the dissidents obtained the codes to manage seizing the Device.

One of his isolinear rods was found on Frigis and was given by Laraq to the crew of the USS Enterprise. With this, they accessed the Chodak computers on Horst III and Allanor. (TNG video game: A Final Unity)
