Borg Task Force

The Borg Task Force was a military unit present within Starfleet and was designed to combat the threat posed by the Borg Collective. It was led by former USS Voyager crewman Annika Hansen. It was dismantled in 2385 after analysts in Starfleet Command believed that the Borg threat had been eliminated by Voyager's actions in the Delta Quadrant. Hansen resigned in protest over the decision and stated that the Borg threat would return. (ST website: The Path to 2409; VOY short story: "Retribution")
