The botany conservation and observation lab (also called the Park) was a facility on board the Federation starship USS Enterprise after the Constitution-class vessel's 2270s decade refit, circa the year 2278.

History and specifics[]

The Park's main purpose was growing plant samples and providing a natural environment for the crew's enjoyment. It was made to appear bigger as it was, using creative layout, planting and serpentine paths, creating the illusion of open world space. On previous spacecraft a similar facility grew plants for scientific reasons and producing oxygen from carbon dioxide. The Park featured wooden benches and magnolias. (TOS novel: Deep Domain)

Because of the similar descriptions, this seems to be identical to the botanical garden described in TOS reference: Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enterprise)
