The Bowog flood was a historical disaster in Ferengi Alliance history. In Ferengi year 17998, the Bowog Dam mysteriously failed days after its warranty had expired, resulting in the drowning deaths of thousands. In the wake of the disaster, some entrepreneur created and sold headskirts with the saying "I survived the Bowog Flood!"
