The Braanur class was a warp-capable starship. Although the Kentari were spacefaring for millennia, their ships were no match for younger civilizations like the Alpha Quadrant Alliance, the Lukari Concordium and the Tzenkethi Coalition. Cruisers were larger and more powerful than Duuvit-class frigates, but dwarfed by the massive KDW Factoria, a Kentari dreadnought.
In the year 2410, Braanur-class cruisers engaged the Lukari starship LSS Reskava and its AQA escort but were easily disabled. The cruisers were again outgunned when they defended New Kentari Moon against a Tzenkethi attack, and when Traditionalists led by defense minister Pentaaro attempted a coup against Tuulemaan, Prime Minister of the Kentari Union.
