Biography[]
In the year 2156, while assigned to Starbase 1 along with Columbia (NX-02), Excalibur encountered a fleet of five Romulan starships, who attacked the base and jammed their frequencies. Under Fleet Captain Erika Hernandez's orders, Styles had Excalibur flee the battle. The Romulans chased the ship down anyway, destroying it with all hands except for first officer Bryce Shumar.
