Brantik was a Tellarite male who served in the Federation Starfleet in its early years in the 22nd century.

History[]

In 2161, when United Federation of Planets was founded and a unified Starfleet was created, Brantik became a Starfleet captain.

In 2164, when the Tellarie government found out that the crew of the ECS Voortrekker founded a small colony on one of the asteroids in the Iota Pegasi system, previously claimed by the Tellarites, he was dispatched in command of a small fleet of Tellarite cruisers to expel them. When the Human colonists refused to leave Brantik threatened to remove them by force.

Fearing that violence could occure, the Federation Council dispatched the USS Endeavour under the command of Captain T'Pol to resolve the situation. Brantik and Freya Stark, governor of the colony, refused T'Pol's help thinking she was going to support one of the sides. Eventually T'Pol managed to get them to the negotiating table, where Brantik conceded to let the boomers keep the asteroid which was removed from the system.
