The Bre'Nan ritual is a Klingon ceremony undertaken prior to a wedding in which the mistress of the Great House approves the bride to enter her family.

The Fire Springs near Yinat on Qo'noS was a favored location for the Bre'Nan ritual to take place. (ST novel: Hidden Universe Travel Guide: The Klingon Empire)
