"Bread and Circuses" was the 43rd episode of Star Trek: The Original Series, the 14th episode of the show's second season, first aired on 15 March 1968. The episode story was written by John KneubuhlMA, with teleplay by Gene Roddenberry and Gene L. Coon, directed by Ralph SenenskyMA and novelized in Star Trek 11 by James Blish.

Summary[]
