Brent was a Human man who served as an Earth Starfleet officer in the 22nd century.
Biography[]
In the year 2155, Brent was serving as the armory officer of the Discovery with the rank of lieutenant commander, when it was ambushed by Romulans over Berengaria VII. The Romulans used nuclear weapons to incapacitate Discovery so it was unable to fight back during the follow up attack run. Brent and another senior officer were ordered by Captain Curtis to leave the ship while he remained behind to send out a distress call. Discovery's warp core breached, but most of the crew managed to get to the escape pods and landed on Berengaria VII from where they were eventually rescued. (ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing)
