Bridget "Bridy Mac" McLellan was a female human Starfleet officer in the 23rd century. As of early 2266, she held the rank of Lieutenant Commander, and was assigned as second officer of the USS Sagittarius. During her tour aboard that ship, she witnessed the disappearance of the former Shedai planet Jinoteur IV. (VAN novel: Reap the Whirlwind)
Following the Sagittarius's return to Vanguard, she was recruited into Starfleet Intelligence, and partnered with Cervantes Quinn, charged with covertly gathering information about the Shedai as well as disrupting criminal activities within the Taurus Reach. In early 2267, she infiltrated a criminal gang led by a male named Scalzer disguised as an Orion. Later, she and Quinn investigated an ancient Shedai artifact on planet FGC-62-24-Gamma. In early 2268, McLellan and Quinn explored the icy world that remained of the Jinoteur system in a pocket universe accessible only by wormhole. Bridy, her leg broken and out of options, used a 5 megaton trilithium explosive to prevent the Klingons from getting a scan of a superweapon devised by the Shedai Apostate.
