Broz was a Romulan Star Empire Class M planet located in the Stelam Deletham system, of the Triangle sector at the edge of the Alpha and Beta Quadrant.
The planet possessed a single island continent with 91% of its surface covered by water. The continent was populated by a primitive species known as the Brozul. The Brozul tribe was lead by a supreme shaman, Dizal.
The presence of a certain alloy used in Romulan hull construction pushed the Empire to establish first contact with the Brozul. Being short on troops at the time, the Romulans decided to use their technological superiority to ensure the cooperation of Dizal and the Brozul. They offered low-level technology to the shaman, who perceived these artifacts as magical in nature. In return, Dizal provided the manpower needed for mining operations on the planet.
Approximately fifty Romulans were present at any given time, so the Romulans established an orbital station above the planet. The station was intended to surveil Dizal, in case he ever tried to turn on them. (FASA RPG module: The Triangle)
