For other uses, see Bryant.

Bryant was a 23rd century Human man, an officer in the Federation Starfleet. By 2270, Bryant held the rank of commander and was the warden of the Starfleet Correctional and Rehabilitation Center on planet Minos.

Bryant was administrator of the rehabilitation outpost when Commander Spock was convicted of treason in that year and sent to Bryant's facility. Bryant personally interviewed the prisoner, and was probably informed of Spock's secret Starfleet orders to escape from the facility in order to infiltrate piracy in the vicinity of the planet Corsair. (TOS novel: Black Fire)

Bryant was identified in dialogue as "commander", and a commander's insignia is shown here for the purposes of this wiki. There does exist a possibility, however, that Bryant was a lieutenant commander who was properly addressed as "commander" as the short form of his rank.
