Buck Stragen was a fictional 20th century Human man, a character featured in the 24th century holonovel Tigers of the Deep.

Fictional biography[]

In the 1940s decade, Stragen was a commanding officer in the United States Navy. After World War II, he continued to serve.

In the 1950s, in the wake of mysterious ship disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle, Stragen hired his former officer Dick Fuller to lead a freelance investigation. He provided Fuller with the decommissioned sub USS Bengal, freelance funds, sonar expert Wendy Staton, and prototype sonar gear to aid search operations in the Atlantic Ocean.
