Ensign Burdick was a human serving as an officer of the Federation Starfleet in the 24th century.
Biography[]
In 2372, Harding was posted to the USS Slayton as a science officer under the command of Captain Karen Blaylock.
The Slayton was ordered to Chiaros IV for a diplomatic mission. Not long after their arrival at the planet, a powerful shockwave shook the Slayton. Burdick pinpointed its origin and Captain Blaylock decided to investigate. When they approached the source, the Slayton crossed into a massive cloaking field and was heavily damaged. Soon after, it was destroyed by a Romulan warbird. Burdick perished with the rest of the crew. (TNG - S31 novel: Rogue)
