Burke was a 24th century Human man, a Starfleet operations division officer serving in security and tactical aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise-D in the 2360s decade.

Biography[]

Late in the year 2365, Burke had the rank of ensign and was assigned to relieve Lieutenant Worf from bridge duty when Worf joined the crew of the USS Hathaway in a war game exercise opposing the Enterprise (TNG episode: "Peak Performance")

By 2367, Burke had been promoted to lieutenant and was set to fill the security chief and tactical role when Worf was missing and presumed dead. Worf and the crew of the shuttlecraft Albert Einstein were recovered before Burke took on the new responsibilities permanently. (TNG - The Star Lost comics: "Trapped", "Homecoming")

Lieutenant Burke relayed a communication from Klingon Chancellor Gowron to Admiral Gregory Quinn and the senior staff in the observation lounge regarding the situation on Nothra in 2369, following the Enterprise's departure from Lisarion. (TNG - Shadowheart comic: "The Lion and the Lamb")
