Byrd Research Complex was a polar research station of the Human civilization, located near the Ross Ice Shelf on the Antarctica continent on the planet Earth. It was built in the 1990s, and abandoned that same decade.

History and specifics[]

Because of its remoteness, Byrd was used in 2045 as the site to detain and question two Vulcans accidentally stranded on Earth. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky)
