In the year 2409, an Alpha Quadrant Alliance vessel raided a True Way base in the Badlands and recovered the Orb of Possibilities. Gul Kardek, leader of the base, escaped on the Grenivok through an interdimensional portal to the mirror universe to seek refuge among his Terran Empire ally, Captain Leeta.
