Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

The Kornaire was a Selek-class Cardassian starship in service in the early 24th century. It was commanded by Danig Kell.

In 2318, the Kornaire was assigned to return the wreckage of the Bajoran starship Eleda and the bodies of its crew to Bajor as part of an official first contact ceremony between the two races. On board were representatives of the Science Ministry and the Oralian Way.

While in orbit, the Kornaire secretly performed detailed scans of Bajor and found it to be much richer in minerals such as uridium and dilithium than previous long-distance scans by the Union had revealed. (TLE - Terok Nor novel: Day of the Vipers)

Shortly after his promotion to Glinn, Skrain Dukat had to clean out a compartment on the Kornaire where three men suffered explosive decompression and were killed, causing him many sleepless nights. Dukat told Benjamin Sisko of this in 2374. (DS9 episode: "Waltz")
