Cal Hudson was a human male in Starfleet in the mid-24th century.

Hudson was a close friend of Benjamin Sisko while at Starfleet Academy, and both also served together on Pelios Station. They also competed against each other for the attentions of Sabbath Nile, though she was more drawn to Curzon Dax. (DS9 short story: "The Music Between the Notes")

In 2370, Hudson betrayed Starfleet by joining the Maquis. (DS9 episode: "The Maquis", Parts I and II)

Hudson was killed by allied Cardassian and Dominion forces in 2373. (DS9 episode: "Blaze of Glory")
