Calthos III was a planet located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, the third planet in orbit of the Calthos star system.
Circa the year 2364, the crew of the Federation starship USS Enterprise visited Calthos III, where an away team were transported to the surface. The team developed an infection that turned their skin orange. Keiko Ishikawa was among the team. (TNG - Strange New Worlds VII short story: "Beginnings")
