Camus II was a planet, the second planet of the Camus system, located in Federation space in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. It was the homeworld of the extinct Yiteran civilization. (Decipher RPG module: Worlds)

The plant had four prominent continents, each once populated by nation-states. It had two moons and standard gravity. (Decipher RPG module: Worlds)
The planet had a large amount of celebium - a radioactive material which with prolonged exposure was fatal to humanoid life, and as a result recent visitors have had to rely of shielding to protect them from the celebium. (Last Unicorn RPG module: All Our Yesterdays: The Time Travel Sourcebook)
The volcanic planet was dry with red-colored soil and small ice caps. It was located in the Organian Treaty Zone. (TOS board game: The Adventure Game)

War resulting from power struggles over possession of identity transference technology wiped out Yiteran culture and altered the world's climate, which was much cooler in the 23rd century than in the past. (Decipher RPG module: Worlds)
One huge, abandoned structure situated atop a volcano was ten miles tall, one mile wide and one mile long. It contained a massive library and a concert hall/musical instrument large enough to hold several hundred thousand people. Geothermal energy drawn from magma vents fed into its power generator, but the system could be overloaded to cause significant environmental damage. (TOS board game: The Adventure Game)
Janice Lester was sent to Camus II with an archaeological team to investigate the planet in the late 2260s. (TOS episode & Star Trek 5 novelization: Turnabout Intruder)
According to one account, Lieutenant Carolyn Palamas joined the expedition following a tour aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise. She give birth to her daughter Athena Palamas on Camus II, and the two departed in 2269. (NF novel: Being Human)
Lester and Arthur Coleman sent the rest of their team to die from celebium poisoning. She found a machine there that let her change bodies, which she later did with James T. Kirk when the Enterprise responded to their distress call in June 2269. (TOS episode & Star Trek 5 novelization: Turnabout Intruder, SKR novels: Second Nature, Point of Divergence)
When James T. Kirk and Shaun Geoffrey Christopher swapped identities, Montgomery Scott in 2270 wondered if the technology from Camus II might be able to help them, even though they were quite a distance from the planet at the time. (TOS novel: The Rings of Time)
Camus eventually became a full status Federation member with a population of 1.25 billion. It was known for its industrial production and being the site of a Starfleet naval support base. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)
Doctor Noonien Soong once studied the technology on Camus II in secret for Starfleet. (TNG - Cold Equations novel: The Persistence of Memory)
In 2360, Jean-Luc Picard mentioned identity transference technology having been discovered on Camus II, as well as Eris Alpha and Kandoge. (TLE novel: The Buried Age) He noted it again while discussing Borg technology with Delcara. (TNG novel: Vendetta)
The USS Enterprise-D was on its way to Camus II in 2367, when it was diverted to Turkana IV. (TNG episode: "Legacy")

By the 2370s, Camus II was well known for its coffee and coffeehouses. (DS9 novelization: The Search)
In 2371, when the crew of Deep Space 9 were preparing for a Dominion attack, Jadzia Dax arranged for a warp-capable transport ship to be permanently stationed in the Bajoran arctic. If the Jem'Hadar should attack the station, its civilian population and non-essential Starfleet personnel would be taken to the transport, which would then take them to Camus II. Federation personnel would be waiting for them there. (DS9 novelization: The Search)
In 2380, the University of Chicago's Professor Steven Wada led a notable archeological expedition to Camus II. (Decipher RPG module: Worlds)
