Caranam was an ancient city-state that exists on the planet Romulus.

History and specifics[]

Its old wall sections are the highlights of walking tours to the city with sections of it being rebuilt to their original size. The remarkable aspect of the walls was the fact that the stones that were used in their construction was carried from the D'Kalla mountain range to the northwest. Visitors can climb the 3,000 year old stairways to the parapets where they can look over the sands to the north as lookouts did centuries earlier.

The T'Wakkan secion of the wall in the northeast quarter will notice the tainted greenish-brown stones which are said to be the stained blood of the defending warriors. This serves as the source of a ballad by L'Reanas. (FASA RPG module: The Romulans)
