CardassiaCity

Cardassia City in 2375.

Cardassia City or Ses'erakh was the capital city of Cardassia and the Cardassian Union. (DS9 novel: A Stitch in Time; PIC novel: Second Self)

It was constructed at some point in history to serve as a more appropriate seat of power for the Cardassian empire. (DS9 short story: "The Calling") Cardassia City was amongst those levelled by the Dominion in their genocidal revenge against the Cardassians at the end of the Dominion War in 2375. (DS9 episode: "What You Leave Behind")

The city was divided into seven different sectors, with the Tarlak Sector containing most governmental administrative buildings. It was structured somewhat like a wheel with six unequal spokes of each sector radiating out from the central Tarlak Sector. (DS9 novel: A Stitch in Time)

Sectors[]

Tarlak Sector[]

The Tarlak Sector was the administrative hub of Cardassia City as well as being an area of public spaces, grounds and monuments. Many famous Cardassians are buried here, including Legate Turat Lokar and Corat Damar. In the mid 24th century the sector was maintained by a man named Tolan who had a passion for Edosian Orchids which he planted widely throughout the sector.

Coranum Sector[]

The Coranum Sector was the oldest and most prestigious residential sector, populated by stately buildings and wide thoroughfares dating back to the early Union. Residents have included the Lokar family.

Paldar Sector[]

The Paldar Sector was the second oldest sector, home to the bureaucrats and civil servants who worked in the Tarlak Sector. It was not uncommon for homes to pass down through families for generations. Residents of this sector included Enabran Tain and Rokan Du'Lam.

Akleen Sector[]

The Akleen Sector was a military area full of garrisons and training areas. Pedestrians are often challenged when travelling through the area. The sector was named after the founder of modern Cardassia, Tret Akleen.

Munda'ar Sector[]

The Munda'ar Sector was a storage area filled mainly with large warehouses. The Obsidian Order have used warehouses here as discrete places to hold cell meetings.

The Tiluvus Gallery was located in the Munda'ar Sector. (DS9 novel: Fearful Symmetry)

In 2376, Elim Garak discovered the Orb of Truth, the Orb of Souls and the Orb of Unity in a Obsidian Order facility in the Munda'ar Sector. (DS9 - Mission Gamma novel: Cathedral)

Torr Sector[]

The Torr Sector was the largest and most densely populated sector. It was originally designed to house the service houses but over time grew to be the cultural centre of Cardassia City, with food, entertainment, artist displays and public performances of music and dance. It has two main districts, North Torr and East Torr.

Barvonok Sector[]

The Barvonok Sector was a business and finance area with a gridplan street layout.
