The Cardassian Guard was the military of the Cardassian Union until the late 24th century. It was divided into at least twelve Orders and several militias and was overseen by the Cardassian Central Command. In 2367, the Cardassian Guard possessed transporters technology which used active feed pattern buffers, that was inferior to the transporters of the Federation. As of 2369, the Guard used replicator technology that was likewise inferior to that of the Federation.
