The Cefta Nor type starbase was a Cardassian space station class, a starbase type in Cardassian Union service from the 22nd century to the 2370s decade. (ENT episode: "Bounty", ST video game: Armada II)

It was also classified as an outpost or tier-1 starbase and could be upgraded to a starport tier station. (ST video game: Infinite)

Specifications[]

Stations of this class each had three docking bays. (ST video game: Infinite)

In the late 2370s, the Cardassian starbase was built by Cardassian construction ships, and would assumed operations with a crew of 150. Its full complement included 800 persons. The starbase served as tactical center for CDF operations in a system. It was able to construct starships of four different classes: construction ship, mining freighter, Groumall-class cargo ship, and Cardassian repair ship. The station's armarment included pulse phasers that were stronger than any found on a starship. (ST video game: Armada II missions: "A Dagger for Zarush", "Tutorial: Cardassians")

Cardassian starbases could appear color-coded to signify allegiance. The strength of its shields, weapons and systems were equivalent to Federation starbases, Romulan starbases, Klingon starbases, Undine motherships, and the Borg nexus. (ST video game: Armada II missions: "A Dagger for Zarush", "Skirmish")

History[]

In 2152, an unnamed Cardassian starbase served as trading station for multiple species, including Vulcans, Klingons, and Tellarites. (ENT episode: "Bounty")

In the 2370s decade, the Monac shipyard was a large Dominion shipyard consisting of numerous Cardassian starbases, and the Kelvas Repair Facility was served during the Dominion War. (DS9 episodes: "Shadows and Symbols", "Tacking Into the Wind")

Following the end of the Dominion War, starbases in various star systems took part in Gul Kentar's uprising against the Klingon Empire occupation of Cardassian space of 2377. They were defeated by the Klingon Defense Force. (ST video game: Armada II)

in 2379, Cerat Nor-A appeared in a Starfleet holodeck training scenario about the Cardassian Defense Force. (ST video game: Armada II mission: "Tutorial: Cardassians")
