Carina X was a planet, the uninhabited tenth planet of the Carinae system, located in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. It was the system's largest world, a gas giant with a ring system and at least one moon.

History and specifics[]

In 2265, the USS Hamilton was conducting tests of a tachyon weapon prototype in the system when malfunctions propelled the vessel nearly a century forward in time, where it was caught within the orbit of Carina X.

In the 2360s or 2370s decade, IRW Belorex and a Federation starship orbited Carina X while boarding parties investigated the Hamilton. (Adventures RPG module: These are the Voyages: Mission Compendium Vol. 1 mission: "Entropy's Demise")
