Carlyle was a Human male in Starfleet. He served as Science officer on the USS Calypso prior to that ship's destruction. He was husband to Alice Carlyle, father to Katalya Tremain, and father-in-law to Jeremy Tremain. (TOS novel: Vulcan!)
