Carol Freeman was a 24th century Human woman, an officer of Starfleet in the 2380s decade. (LD episode: "Second Contact")
Biography[]
In the 2350s, Freeman and her husband Alonzo had a daughter, Beckett Mariner. All three were or became members of Starfleet.
Alonzo was assigned to USS Quito as a four-star admiral by the year 2380, while Freeman captained the USS Cerritos.
On stardate 57436.2, Freeman spoke with Alonzo over subspace about their daughter, Ensign Mariner, who served on her mother's ship. The relationship between all three was strained due to Beckett's conduct. (LD episode: "Second Contact")
In 2381, Freeman was among the Cerritos crew who got trapped by the malevolent artificial intelligence Badgey on the holodeck. During the lower deckers' effort to earn enough merit points for Badgey to release them, Freeman oversaw a simulation of the shuttle bay alongside Ensign Kayshon. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive)
At one point while they were trapped, Brad Boimler became infected with plant pollen that acted like a love potion, making him infatuated with Freeman. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive episode: "This Side of Pollendise") Later, Badgey forced the crew into holding a hearing to confirm his sentience. Freeman led the hearing, though it degenerated near the end and Badgey made his own ruling before Freeman could deliver her verdict. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive episode: "Measure of a Badge")
During an attempt to escape Badgey, Sam Rutherford became trapped in a collapsing warp bubble pocket universe. Ship's personnel vanished until only he and Freeman remained. She asserted with confidence that they were the entire ship's complement and that the universe was 705 meters in diameter, before she vanished as well. (LD video game: The Badgey Directive episode: "Remember Rutherford")
Alternate timelines[]
In an alternate timeline, Freeman was pulled into the temporal anomaly crisis. Freeman was skilled in the fields of command, diplomacy, and security. Among the equipment she brought to bear in away team missions were case files, a linguistic database, emergency transponder, stun grenade, a starship replica, and a virtual display device.
